Rebuilding

Rebuilding an old piano can restore it to near original condition, lengthening its life and maximizing the enjoyment derived from playing. Depending on the piano, it may be a complicated and costly venture, or it could be a very simple matter of replacing a few worn parts.

When considering rebuilding or refinishing a piano, the cost must be weighed against the potential value - not just in monetary terms. For example: a customer gets a complete restoration of a 100-year-old piano that costs more than the value of the piano. The piano, however, was an important piece of the family's history, and can now remain in the family for another 100 years.
