IRENE BESSE ACADEMY USES STEINWAY-FAMILY PIANOS IN ALL PERFORMANCE, TEACHING AND PRACTICE SPACES
Irene Besse Academy of Music is proud to use only Steinway-designed pianos. While we are not a degree-granting University or College, this is an important first step for Canadian Music. At this point in time, there are a number of accredited Canadian Colleges & Universities well on their way to becoming All-Steinway Schools in the very near future.
Students of the Irene Besse Acadamy will now be even better prepared for higher-education and performance careers as a result of the excellent equipment.
At the same time, while making this fantastic investment in the quality of education received at IBAM, fees will not be increasing. Recital opportunities on the beautiful 9' Steinway Concert Grand are all just 'part of the IBAM experience'!

Our Academy
The highly trained and diverse faculty at the Irene Besse Academy of Music offer instruction in a wide variety of disciplines including piano, digital piano & keyboard, strings, voice, and theory. Regular weekly lessons are complimented by a series of student recitals in Steinway Concert Hall, as well as workshops and master classes by visiting artists and guest lecturers.
Music lovers of all ages will find a teacher at the Irene Besse Academy of Music to help fulfill their musical aspirations, great and small. The members of our multi-talented staff can instruct students in a variety of genres and styles, as well as teach the basic techniques needed to be a proficient musician.
With two locations for your convenience, we are Calgary's largest private music school. Our highly trained international faculty have come to us from a number of the finest schools in Asia, Europe and North America. They are friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated to ensuring your learning experience is rewarding and enjoyable.
