An introduction to the basic elements of musical notation.
Preliminary Rudiments & Grade 1 Rudiments (Combined)
(Co-requisite for Grades V & VI practical)
An accelerated course covering the full requirements for both courses. Students will write the Rudiments I exam at the end of the year.
Grade 1 Rudiments
(Co-requisite for Grade VI practical)
A continuation of Preliminary Rudiments, intended to further students' musical reading skills. A practical ear-training component will also be integrated into the course.
Grade 2 Rudiments Accelerated
(Co-requisite for Grade VII practical)
A continuation of Grade I Rudiments, providing a solid foundation in music notation and preparation for further studies in harmony. This class covers the course material at an accelerated pace.
