IBAM’s founder, Irene Besse, has spent years with the music’s most elegant instrument, honing her craft as a player and expanding her knowledge as a proprietor of a music shop. This fundamental understanding led to a career in teaching and the founding of her own Calgary piano school. It has now grown into the largest of its kind in the city, boasting a student body of over 800 taught in two separate facilities. Irene has made it her mission to bring the joy and passion of playing the piano to people of all ages in Calgary.
