Testimonials

On behalf of the Alberta Psychiatric Association I would like to thank you for your generosity in allowing us to use the Steinway piano that Dr. Kogan played during his presentation on March 25th -- and for arranging its transportation and tuning.

Booking Information

Last updated December 06, 2007

Steinway Concert Hall is a very popular venue for private concerts and teacher year-end recitals, especially during the months of December, May and June.  Desirable dates during peak periods are often booked up to a year in advance.

Please follow the instructions below to expedite confirming the Hall for your special event.

1.  Call or email the Hall Manager with your requested date(s) to check availability.

Hall Manager: Karen Chernishov email  (403) 252-7770 extension 307

2.  To confirm your reservation time and date, you are asked to meet with the Hall Manager in person to view the hall and sign a rental agreement.  Effective June 1, 2007, all renters must sign a rental agreement prior to the event.  At this meeting, you will also be asked to provide proof of insurance for your event.

$2,000,000 proof of insurance is required to cover liability for Property Damage and/or Bodily Injury. Irene Besse Keyboards Ltd./Steinway Concert Hall must be named as an additional insured on the policy for the duration of the event. There will be a minimal service fee from your insurance company for this transfer. We are able to recommend an insurance agent.

Hall Rental Fees

The hall rental rates vary depending on the equipment and services required.  The Steinway piano must be tuned.  The  stage lights require an extraordinary amount of power.  For security reasons, an attendant must be on site at all times.  For simple events held during store hours, attendant fees may be waived as store staff are available.

The basic hall rental fee for a piano recital (an amateur, non-ticketed event hosted by a local piano teacher to showcase his/her students) during store hours is $300.  This includes the piano, stage lighting, basic P.A. sound system and theatre-style seating.  This is a subsidized rate.

For events other than piano recitals, events held outside store hours, sound & lighting technicians, and/or food & beverage services, additional fees may apply.

In any case, please contact the hall Manager to discuss hall fees.

3.  A 50% deposit is due at times of booking to hold your date.  No exceptions.

Cancellations:   More than 6 months, full refund less $50 administration fee

Greater than 45 days, 50% refund of deposit

Greater than 15 days,  25% refund of deposit
